National Healthcare IT Agenda Collaborative 

The National Healthcare IT Agenda Collaborative Team was formed to identify the most relevant healthcare IT agenda and policies that are important to the TIGER mission and assist in closing any representation gaps on said policy issues.  In addition, this team will communicate the existance and importance of the National HIT agenda and policies to the broader nursing community.

 

Need for More Nursing Input Now on Use Cases that will drive HITSP specifications, as well as future EHR certification criteria

Available for comment through February 15, 2008!

 

The next round of Use Cases, which will drive HITSP standards harmonization and interoperability specifications, as well as future EHR certification criteria, is now out for public comment through COB February 15th, 2008.

 
These use cases (noted below) can be viewed/ downloaded, along with the instructions for supplying comments, at http://www.hhs.gov/healthit/usecases/.
 
 

Additionally, there will be a  Stakeholder Teleconference on Friday, February 1st from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm EDT. During this teleconference an overview will be held for the use cases that were approved for development during the July 2007 AHIC Meeting including: Remote Monitoring, Patient - Provider Secure Messaging, Personalized Healthcare, Consultations and Transfers of Care, Public Health Case Reporting, and Immunizations & Response Management.

Work Groups

Read more about the activities of the work groups that have been formed to research various aspects of our program.  You can respond to our survey to join one or more of the work groups. 

 

Work Group 1 - Standards and Interoperability efforts (such as ANSI-HITSP). 

 

Work Group 2 - Clinical and policy initiatives generated by the American Health Information Community/Office of the National Coordinator (such as AHIC & AHIC workgroups, Use Cases).

 

Work Group 3 - Participate in the certification process for the electronic health record (such as reviewing/commenting on the CCHIT work products).

 

Work Group 4 - Develop a communication and outreach strategy for which those materials can be widely disseminated to the TIGER and broader nursing community.
